A Single Movie or a Season of DVD’s December 6, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 12:39 am

So in honor of my birthday week I thought I would blog about stuff I would like to receive for my day of birth. (December 7th)

Ever since I have stated college I have been all about watching seasons of shows rather than movies. One year on Black Friday Target had One Tree Hill on sale for 12 dollars all of the seasons, I of course got season 1 and 5 the only seasons left. But when I got them I literally watched them all the way through in a matter or a week and a half. It was great because I could choose when to watch them and for how long I wanted to watch the episodes.

Well then I came to college and I got to see everyone around me’s movie selection and yeah I found good movies, but I always fell sleep in the middle they were just too long so the seasons of stuff was better cause it was only about 45 minutes to watch one episode and I could stay up that late. It was a perfect fit.

Now I have exuhsted my floors seasons of any and all shows I need more! So for my birthday I asked to get any season of CSI, Criminal Minds, Law and Order SVU, One Tree Hill, Glee, and then old sitcoms like Boy Meets World and Roseanne.

Call me silly, but they are so much fun! I really like the alternative to watching a season of a show than just a movie! What do you think is better a movie or a season set?

Until next time!

I Kissed A Girl! November 30, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 2:02 am

Santana and Finn’s slap still talked about, I’m okay with it. Getting suspended? She should, but Finn blackmailing her is great! I hope that the Troubletones do go back to New Directions. It would be wonderful, yet I doubt it will fly over.

Kurt cheating…NO! He is a good upright citizen don’t cheat. Plus if Brittany wins it would be hilarious! But common she won’t!

Finn is actually being really cool about Santana and Brittany. I also have a feeling that tonight’s music will be too legit. I heard the song Finn sings is super good! Kurt and Blaine singing Perfect by Pink! sounds suprizingly good. Normally I don’t appricaite Kurt’s voice but I do like him in this song with Blaine. But Santana is a total _____.UCK!

Sue hopefully will lost the election let’s be real we do not want her to be a congresswoman because she wouldn’t be at the school or on the show, and that cannot happen!

Awkward with Beast and her boyfriend, I did not know what that was going to be, weird!

I LOVE WHEN PUCK SINGS! (Only One) He loves Shelby and she pretends she doesn’t love him, but we know Shelbs we know. Quinn likes Puck and he is totally not buying it! Puck calling her out! I love it!

Finn is so cute! He loves Santana, and wants to help her.The line about her being his first was too sweet. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG !!!!!!!!!!!! My cable went out! NOOOOO the snow here is blizzard like and it went out.. okay good back, in the middle of Finn’s song. I heard this is going to be good. An acoustic version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. He is being too nice! It’s making me fall in love with him! Seriously though. All the boys in I love it!

Beast! OH NO! He cannot be dating Sue, it will crush her. No way! Kuter and her cannot be done dating! Beast loves him she just doesn’t know how to show or tell him! NOOOO a weather update! I AM MISSING SO MUCH GLEE TIME RIGHT NOW! IT IS CONSTANTLY INTERRUPTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOST CRITICAL POINTS OF THE SHOW. GAHHHHH! I JUST WANT TO WATCH MY SHOW!

Brittany is so dumb! Seriously. Yay Kurt didn’t cheat! I am really glad he didn’t. Sue is a bad word, how could she rub it in Beast’s face. Seriously rude. Whoa! A Beast song, shoot! Jolene on top of that! This song is one of my country favs, so glad they are doing it! She doesn’t even sound that bad, I mean she is not the best singer, but it isn’t pathetic!

Shoot here we go! The girls align and it was too good! I kissed a girl! Oh man! This is too good actually, a really FUN number. And I’m glad that she got to tell her family before the commercial leaked. That was good.

IT WAS RACHEL! I know it was Rachel!…I KNEW IT! She put way too many in, common cheat accordingly Rach. Hahaha If she is suspended WHAT WILL I  DO?! Without Rachel Berry the show will be miserableee! Nooooo! NO SECTIONALS FOR RACHEL! What the heck! Seriously that cannot be, what the ham!

Oh no! Shebly called Puck, I mean I know why he is Beth’s dad. Puck was way too cute, how much he cared about Beth and Shebly until that moment. But in the bedroom after they slept together Shelby tells him it was a mistake common woman, that’s wrong!

On a side note I need to see New Year’s Eve with Lea Michele and my favorite ZAC EFRON! Oh how I have missed my movie boyfriend…(Sorry Joe.)

Santana telling her grandma..high pressure. I feel a little awkward right now can’t lie. Like I am sitting in on something super private. It’s weird. WHOA! Her grandma rejecting her, that’s too harsh.

Quinn is nuts! Wanting to get pregnant again, too much! Puck’s talk to her is too sweet, he has been just the best guys lately. I love it. OH NO! He is going to tell Quinn about Shelby and his relationship, gahh could he be dumber?! Unless I am wrong then I can fess up that I  was wrong.

Beast admiting her love is precious! I loveeee it, and I hope that he leaves Sue for Beast.

In the glee room is the reason why I love this show so much! It rocks honestly. They all literally love eachother and support eachother beyond belief, and it’s inspiring. I love this show and next week Sam in the strip club?! What the heckk haha one things for sure this show keeps me on my toes and in love every week. Until next tuesday!

Black Friday! November 25, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 6:21 pm

I couldn’t help but to post about today. Let’s be honest I’d be crazy not too. I like a crazy went out shopping with my mother last night to just check out the deals. Yup, you read right just check them out. We weren’t on a mission to get anything just see if we saw anything. Let’s say we saw a lot of good stuff, but not good enough to stand in line for an hour and a half. We were a it unsuccessful, all we got was three mircofiber bath rugs for $6.98 each, two movies for $1.98 and season 2 and 6 of One Tree Hill for $10 each. Now for me I think it is fun to go and see some of  the crazy people going nuts, hearing how much their total is while your in line, like really $1,580.52 in one night at one store?! But let’s be real for some people it is worth it.

Now we could sit and debate all night if sitting in line at Best Buy on Thanksgiving day at noon is really worth the $200 t.v. your going to get, but really it come down to whether you value your time or your money. Personally I would never wait in line for 8 hours until the store opens, but sometimes people think that if they save a bit then they can snatch the perfect gift for their loved one without losing too much money. It makes sense, little, but it does.

Now even though my trip was unsuccessful it was fun! I can’t lie. I enjoy it. I love seeing people go nuts over stuff. I also get excitied to think maybe the market is coming back, keeping my fingers crossed. But really if you’ve never gone out I’d suggest it. If nothing else it’s  great people watching!

Until next time!

How to dress for Thanksgiving. November 23, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 3:15 am

If you guys are anything like me you want to look cute for all of your family on Thanksgiving day, but then after your feast you realize shoot these jeans have no give. You then are super uncomfortable, not only becuase you ate an ungodly amount of food, but because your outfit has passed the comfort level. So I thought what better thing to do than share some Thanksgiving friendly clothes. (It also didn’t hurt that there wasn’t Glee this week.)

So first if you have Jeggings, grab them! These are perfect for Turkey Day. They have the perfect amount of stretch to make you comfortable after the meal, but the right amount of tightness to make you look good before. Plus you can add a good pair of heels and really dress them up for the day.

Next is Leggings, but PLEASE not by themselves, your Aunt Betty might be really angry to see your booty that close and personal, let’s be really honest probably no one does. But I would pair a designed pair with a plain skirt for extra comfort. I like to wear my skirts high too so this way when you feel full after your meal you can just pull the skirt up a bit and the leggings cover you up plenty.

A dress is also a good choice, if you feel your not too dressed up for the occasion. A dress gives you a lot of comfort in the tummy area, no waist belt, that’s just absurd for Thanksgiving and you’ll regret it one piece of Pumpkin Pie in. But you could even pair leggings along with the dress too.

I would also suggest a sweater or vest. By wearing this you can button it up when you need to and hide how many visits you made to the food line. I like some thicker sweaters and you definetaly suggest them for Thursday because the puffier the vest or sweater the less puffy you look, but don’t go overboard now!

Now this is by no means an exhusted list there are plenty of ways to stay comfy on Thanksgiving and I encourage you to do whatever you want. I will personally chose the sweater jegging route for myself. Let me know what you decide to wear. Have a blessed week and a Thankful Thanksgiving.

Until next time!

Thankful. November 22, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 3:51 am

So this is most likely the most typical blog post this time of year, but with that said, I couldn’t resist it!

I’M SO THANKFUL! I am going to try and put a different spin on it. I’m going to post pictures of what I am thankful for. (If I have a picture of it. haha) So here we go crew!

My Faith. It is everything that is in me, even when it’s ugly. God is good and always will be. He provides and comforts. I have nothing to do but praise Him and I was reminded of that this past sunday when I went home for church. Therefore that leads me to be thankful for Mainstreet church. Not only have they provided my father with a job, but they gave me an extended family and the resources I need to grow in my faith. (Sorry no picture.)

My family. They make me who I am. They rock! My parents Tom and Amanda are the best team I have met. They pick eachother up when needed and provide me with everything that I need to succeed not to mention provide me with the perfect example of a Christ like home and marriage. My sisters Mackenzie and Sagan are literally so different, yet so great! They both have taught me so much whether they know it or not, they do. I have always looked up to the both of them for very different reasons, I admire who they are. My brother-in-law Dave (Mackenzie’s husband) and future-brother-in-law Brian (Sagan’s fiance) are literally opposite, yet they are the best of both worlds. Brian is the biggest helper and do-it-yourself man ever. He is so giving of his time and help that it blows my mind. Dave on the other hand is not a fixer, yet he is the most helpful man that I know. I swear Dave is good at everything (it makes me mad how good he is at everything now that I think about it) but literally he is great. He will do whatever for whoever whenever.I am extremely proud that these are the additions to my family and feel honored that they are. I could only hope that my husband will be as great as these men. (He’s got some BIG shoes to fill.)

I am thankful for my boyfriend I won’t go too far since he got his own post, but really I am thankful for him. He has changed my life and for the better. I wake up everyday thanking God for him. He is a HUGE blessing to me and I love him. So here is Joe, my wonderfully handsome boyfriend.

I am also very thankful for the other man in this picture and that is my uncle Matt. This man has changed my perspective on life. He makes me so much stronger. Matt is my mom’s brother and he has Down Syndorm. He is literally the most optomistic person and he loves hard! He gives more love than anyone knew was possible and is absolutly hilarious. I have so many funny stories to share about him, but time does not allow. Basically to sum it all up, Matt is great! When he says I’ll miss Wildcat while she at colle (His word for college and Wildcat is who I am) it makes my heart melt. He is often the reason that I look so forward to coming home often, Joe and I love to hang out with Matt whenever possible.

I am thankful for my roommates at school Ciara and Ashley. I am not the easiest person to live with, I can admit it, but they put up with me. I am so thankful for their friendship and helpfulness. They listen to my hours of practice for my speech class and quiz me for tests that I have worked hours to memorize. They are saints to put up with me and still be my friends. So Ashley and Ciara. You guys rock, and I love you both a TON!

Huntington University is something I without a doubt am thankful for. It’s the best to know that I have a school that I can go to where I don’t have to worry about people’s random hook-ups or their drunken stumbles. It’s a huge blessing to get to further my faith as I further my education.

Also I am thankful for Livingston Hall. I have lived here both years that I’ve been at HU and it is amazing. I am surrounded by amazing people, a wonderful building, and a great RD. I am super grateful for what I have learned within these walls and for the people who have blessed my life here.

I am also thankful for my furry friends, also known as pets. They rock. Ha I often miss them when I am gone. It’s funny how much joy an animal can bring to your life, but that’s what Winnie (my dog) and Phebs (my cat) do for me. I enjoy them a lot!

Now this is by no means an extensive list, but at the moment it’s what I’ve got. I am also thankful for a planet, a home, a car, food, sleep and lots and lots more but let’s be honest you don’t want to read everything else. Until tomorrow everyone!

Good Movie Coming Out! November 21, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 3:43 am

So lately I’ve been craving a good movie. One that will really touch me, maybe even make me ball my eyes out. I stumbled (not literally on stumbleupon, but rather over Facebook) upon this movie trailer for the show The Vow. Unfortunately it isn’t coming out until February, but I watched the trailer and cried within those two minutes. It must be super good. Needless to say, I am excited for it to come out. Let me know what do you guys think. And Enjoy!

Boys and their antics. November 16, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 6:22 pm

So, I’m sure that you have heard about the new video games that have just recently been coming out. I know that I sure have. Wether it be MW3 or some Sky game it doesn’t matter…girls think it’s lame.

Sure video games are great for boys. They can get in their fair share of alone time or “bro” time to hang out, but there is a limit boys. I’ll just come out and say it cause apparently boys don’t realize this or they just don’t care butttt…. girls don’t think being a gamer is attractive. Actually the opposite probably. If you like to sit in front of the t.v shooting people for 4 hours a day be my guest, but don’t expect us to be making your dinner while you “game it up.” I mean enough is enough.

Some guys even go so far to talk about gaming when they aren’t doing so. My Twitter feed is filled with boys commenting about what a great kill ratio they had, or how awesome of a campaign they just ran. Like seriously? We don’t care. Is that video game going to help you protect me when we are in an ally getting mugged? No. Common boys.

Even worse is when boys take the video games too far. For example. I read this story about an idiot who got upset at Best Buy becuase they were sold out of MW3 so he went nut-sooo! Here read for yourself. —> http://www.dumbcriminals.com/other/i-think-i’ll-stick-to-burger-time…/

So needless to say, for all my male readers. Gaming is good while we go shopping, but too far is not good and will potentially leave you with plenty of time to game with no female interruptions, probably ever. Don’t go overboard. Be a conservative gamer and only mention is once in a while. And also, if you are blessed enough to have a girlfriend who accepts your gaming habits, APPRECIATE HER she’s likely a saint, and take the time to text or talk on the phone while your playing. But just know that not many of these girls exist. So don’t hold your breath.

Until next time.

Mash off! November 16, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 2:01 am

So tonight Glee will be filled with my favorites! MASH UPS! I love the idea of combining two songs that are nothing alike, yet when together they sound perfect and like they should never have been two songs. Also on tonight’s episode the shows 300th number! Gahhhhh I heard it already and I’m sure you guys will love it! Okay here we go!

Puck and Shelby..uck! But I have to admit it is better than Lauren haha. The rock and roll is great! Ha it suits Puck well and I loved Mike’s toe touch, he was better than I was when I was a cheerleader. Ha I do think that Finn will figure it out first though.

Sue is way too much, her Baboon heart on Kurt’s Dad Burt is not cool, but ultimately it is harmless, which is surprising for Sue.

Ha World War Glee..too good. AND HERE IT COMES! MASH UPS! I love the hostility from Santana it’s funny as always! Shelby and Shue together sound great and I enjoy it a lot. Puck plays piano..shoot he just got 9947509341 time hotter. Piano boys are super good looking haha, but for real. I also really enjoy Sugar’s awkwardness. Watch her in the background too funny!

Puck and Shelby….uck. “You know this is gunna happen. ‘wink’” GAHH TOO MUCH! hahaha

Quinn goes way too far. Leaving the glee club to get close to Beth…that won’t work!

Rachel reaching out to Shelby for a recommendation.. didn’t see that! I hope they sing together again! I love their blend when they sing, so good. When Shelby said she was proud of Rachel I knew something clicked in her head. They will without a doubt bond through this process together.

DODGEBALL! I can’t wait to see Rachel play haha it will be hilarious. Rory is too sweet. I love this song! (Hit Me with Your Best Shot) The mash up sounds so good! (with the song One Way or Another) The competition is way too much. Santana is harsh now. Her nice spree is reverse psychology.  FINN DID NOT! He went there…it just got really serious! Holy crapppp!

“Don’t let Burt make an ass of you Ohio.” Hahaha

Puck telling Shelby. Solid. He is becoming a man without a doubt. And saying that Shelby was meant to be her mother, super touching. Almost cried if that scene was longer I would have lost it.

MASH OFFFFFF! yes. Hahahah New Directions hair, make-up, and costumes are too funny. Everyone is like what is this haha but still cute. What the heck another commercial..seriously! Curse the commercials.

The debate! Here we go. Rick the Stick-hahaha yuck. Brittany- Tornado’s really, and topless of couse she would. Kurt- A real canidaite. Standing up for what is not supported. That-a-boy. Rachel- That-a-girl. She stands for what she believes in. No matter how nuts she is sometimes she really pulls through in the clutch. “I’m gunna hug you now, okay?” haha

Shelby is digging deep. Wow. A cash whore ouch. They are both going too far. Someone needs to intervene.

And now Santana. Wow this an intense episode. This is such a great mash up! Adele def. has some great songs and Rumor Has it and Someone Like You are great together. And it fits the story line. P.S- this is the 300th song! Congrats to everyone at GLEE!

WHOA WHAT IS UP WITH HER?! Too far Santana. We get it your paranoid but too far.

WOW THAT IS IT!!!!!! IT ENDS THERE! SHOOT DANG. And next week…NO GLEE! Wow. That blows. But in two weeks in looks like a great episode. I cannot wait… at all. Seriously. I love this show so much!

See Yourself in Bloom! November 13, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — blaircaldwell @ 3:35 am

Hey guys, so I have some super exciting news to finally share with you all. Do you remember when I was blogging about the blessings that are occurring in my families lives. Well I couldn’t announce that my sisters were in the process of starting their own business. I couldn’t tell anyone (which was super hard!) because of the job they currently held. But now I can tell you!

My older sisters both bought a salon and now own it! It opened on Monday for it’s official first day! The salon is called Bloom. Its theme so to speak is flowers with pink and green. I am so excited for this you guys I can’t stand it! Mostly because it is super cool to say that my sister own a salon, but also because they are living their dream! For the two of them the final step of success in their careers was always to own a shop together. When they first started looking they wanted something small, with maybe two or three stylists. But really God opened the door for them.

There were a few shops that they were super close to buying, but something would happen right at the last minute and their plans would fall through. My sisters remained patient and steadfast in their searching. My oldest sister and her husband made it their mission seriously. Finally they found this beautiful salon, but thought it would be way out of their price range. Literally the salon was brand new and the previous owner had lost it because she was so far behind in debt. But my brother-in-law encouraged my sister who thought this will never be ours to just make an offer. Sure enough they made an offer and God took care of the rest.

So now my sisters own this practically new salon and it is AMAZING! At first it was just a boring beige walls and counters, but now it is so much more! Seriously. I knew my sister had great style and decorating techniques, but when I saw the salon today I was shocked. It was beyond beautiful. It is spunky, yet classy. I got my toes done and loved sitting by the green and pink walls. I can’t wait to go back to get my hair done. It’s so cute I never want to leave it! Hahaha. But seriously my friend from home texted me today to say she stopped in and just loved it! So far all I’ve heard are great comments.

The new salon is definitely a blessing to my sisters and also our family. Everyone has put so much hard work into the shop and it shows. God is a giver and always out-does himself. I know my sisters are so thankful for his provision in the creation of the shop and continue to pray for his blessing over their business. They also give all the praise to God which is awesome to see. Wonderful things are going to happen inside of Bloom for His Kingdom and I can’t wait to see it!

So go ahead. See yourself in BLOOM!
